Hi, I’m Deanna!

I’m a mixed Black and white, white-presenting, cis, queer woman (she/her pronouns). I’m also a nerd who gets excited learning a surprising fact or dancing to nostalgic hip hop in my kitchen. I respect and care about the people I work with, and I love seeing them reach their goals.

I’m always trying to build my self- and systems awareness. Some of the BIPOC and LGBTQ+ people I work with have had past therapists mistrust their experience, get defensive, or see a “society” problem as a “them” problem. My goal is to create a safe, affirming space for people to be their unedited selves.

I’ve had my own struggles with anxiety. I’m grateful to have built secure and joyful relationships with myself and others, and therapy helped me get there. I love working with people along that path. I never expect that your unique journey will match mine; instead, what I take from my own experience is the confidence that change is possible.
